Quietly Structured
The UQ Entry Precinct Project modernised the existing central spine connecting the main facilities and functions of the university with a new and enlivened entryway into the Campus.
Landscape elements and outdoor learning elements have been formalised and designed to provide a durable and timeless statement reflecting the relaxed and quietly structured way of student life in rural Queensland.
The large concrete scope includes two pavilions with suspended concrete roofs, generous pathways and seating terraces. Timber detailing in the form of suspended battened soffits and seating elements combine with the off form concrete to provide inviting and comfortable spaces.
This project showcases the 3 pillars of Naturform – Building, Landscape and Civil.
