Naturform was engaged by Whittlesea City Council to undertake the Design and Construct of a Water Play Area and Play Tower.
Working in conjunction with Whittlesea City Council and Jeavons Landscape Architects the design intent was to provide a space that was suitable to those with All Abilities.
The Play Tower was designed with all abilities access to lower and mid levels with multiple areas to stop and utilise equipment in these areas.
Upper levels are designed for challenging and exciting play and to keep children coming back to the space to conquer the activities that are all through the tower space. It is a play pace that offers all ages and all abilities multiple areas of play.
The Water Play Splash pad was designed to accommodate inclusive play for all. A concrete channel, highlighted with a blue coloured bed runs the length of the splash pad, to splash in or chase little boats along.
The Water Play Tables are Wheelchair accessible, designed and fabricated by Naturform,
Three large misting rings accommodate a wheel chair and carer as does the accessible timber bridge.
There is a quiet circular refuge area with low bubbling jets for smaller children and those that like a little less chaos and ample rock wall seating for adults to sit, relax and supervise the children.
The Splash Pad was designed with lots of little bubblers and jets that are interactive to keep people of all ages and abilities entertained and cool.
