Attention to detail in an award winning project

The new Governor’s Courtyard sits sensitively adjacent the heritage architecture within the Government House compound. The courtyard provides a private and peaceful venue for formal functions and events, which are an integral part of the duties of the Office of the Governor.

The unique challenges of the project included limited access,
co-ordination and accommodation of scheduled events and ensuring Government House procedures and protocols were respected.

A high level of finish was achieved through attention to detail and careful integration with the existing structures and gardens. The standard of construction on this project gained industry recognition by winning the 2020 Landscape of the Year award.
