Serious business underneath fun and games waterplay

Thousands of children enjoy their time at South Bank parklands in Brisbane due to our Aquativity interactive water play facility. This hugely popular feature needed to sit proudly and safely alongside the existing lagoon.

SPLAT were inspired by the river that South Bank fronts and used the map to create intricate concrete pavement designs for kids and tourists alike to discover.

Underneath all the fun and games was a challenging construction with extensive hydraulic and electrical services, steel structures and formwork which allowed retrofitting of glass reinforced concrete feature elements.
